As an all-around family gal, Doris enjoys striking wines that share some great qualities with her own kids; bold confidence, and all the beautiful characteristics that come together perfectly with age. She loves a selection that is dynamic, and finds real excitement in discovering new and different wines each week on the Ponzi Wine Bar guest tasting menu. Learning about all the interesting people and stories behind each wine energizes Doris’s excitement for working in the Willamette Valley!
Doris has been involved in the local wine industry since 2005 when her children became old enough to give her some time to pursue her curiosity. She has studied viticulture and winemaking, on her own and also as part of Chemeketa’s courses.
Aside from her enthusiasm for wine, Doris takes pleasure in cultivating her artistic side through portrait oil painting. She also dabbles in piano playing; although she jokes that most people would ask her to stop if she
played in public. Gardening is Doris’s favorite way to relax at home, before pouring her self a glass of wine and sitting outside on the patio.
