1994 Ponzi Pinot Noir Reserve

I was lucky enough to attend a special dinner hosted by the Ponzi family in honor of some of our top distributor reps who were visiting the Willamette Valley. There were many special wines floating around that night, and one of which was a wine that I’ve heard wonderful things about over the years. This vintage was known for low yields and great concentration of flavors. A deep & vibrant core of black cherry and plum lingered on and on, with sweet anise and dried thyme notes. The tannins have mellowed nicely. What a wonderful treat!
