The 2009 Big Table Farm Catrall Brothers is an incredibly complex wine coming from a warm vintage. Growing high in the Eola-Amity hills, the Catrall Brothers vineyard is the oldest certified organic vineyard in Oregon! Winemaker Brian Marcy used 70% whole cluster fermentation, a difficult but rewarding method of fermenting the grapes with the stems still attached. The label design is done by his wife, an artist in her own right, Clare Carver. With artwork varying by the bottling, she chose for this label to sketch the grape delivery truck used by the brothers, a 1947 Ford pickup.
This winemaker/artist team moved to the Willamette Valley from Napa where they’ve built and tended their farm as sustainable business. They sell organic eggs and farm raised organic meats and invite guests to come out to dine at their “Big Table”. What better way to ponder life than with a glass of Big Table Pinot Noir? Each glass offers layers of fruit and spice, along with a smile that you’ve done something good for the world. Due to the unique label printing process used, you’ll find that each bottle is pre-wrapped in tissue paper and ready for the taking! Fewer than 100 cases produced!
