J. Christopher’s 2009 Sandra Adele is really THAT good!

Jay Somers has turned out delicious and balanced wines from a warm & somewhat challenging growing year. In fact, it was one of the warmest vintages in Oregon’s grape growing history, therefore, not an easy result to achieve. So, how do you make balanced wine where all elements are playing nice together year-in, year-out? It comes down to three things; the vineyards, the winemaker and to a lesser degree, the vintage.

Jay focuses on the Dundee Hills for this wine, pulling from Abbey Ridge Vineyard, Charlie’s Vineyard as well as a newcomer to the blend, Bella Vida vineyard. Each of these unique sites lends something just a little bit different from the others. Charlie’s lends darker fruit and structure, while Bella Vida adds bright red fruit notes. The acclaimed Abbey Ridge vineyard contributes exotic floral aromatics, texture and lift. 94 point in Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate and well deserved! Only 150 cases made
