Walter Scott La Combe Verte Pinot Noir 2009

Ken Pahlow has been selling and promoting St. Innocent wines (and many others) for close to fifteen years. He now works for Evening Land Vineyards and also makes his own wine with his partner, Erica Landon (who used to helm our restaurant, The Dundee Bistro), under the Walter Scott label. His newly released 2009 La Combe Verte Pinot Noir is a bit of a play on words and at the same time an ode to a mentor and friend, the loveable Patty Green. The name translates to, “the green fault”, as it’s really her fault that he started making wine. He’s glad he did, as are we!

This wine is a blend of three vineyards, from three distinctly different soil type. The Holstein Vineyard in the Dundee Hills, the Hawk’s View Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains and the Bishop Creek Vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton. With just over three hundred cases made coupled with this unbelievably low priced Pinot, trust us when we say, stock up!
