It’s back! Black Cap wines are very, very sought after wines because of what they represent. Pure, unapologetic expression of the best vineyards in the Willamette Valley and of course the winemaking talent of the proprietor, Jason Lett. You may recognize the name as one of the Willamette Valley’s most cherished winemaking families. The Lett’s planted the very first commercial vineyard in the Valley in 1966 and shortly after that, took the wine world by storm when they swept two blind tastings of some of the world’s most esteemed Pinot Noirs. Oregon was thrust onto the world stage and has never looked back.
The 2008 Black Cap Pinot Noir has already received very high praise. Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate has just bestowed a very well deserved 94 points, putting it amongst the highest scoring Oregon Pinot Noirs to date. You’ll want to try this one!
