One of America’s most compelling Chardonnay’s!

Jim Maresh grew up in the Dundee Hills. Jim’s grandparents planted one of the first vineyards on Worden Hill Road and his dad was a talented winemaker. Let’s just say he has literally been raised by the wine industry and the Dundee Hills are his back yard. You could say winemaking is in his blood. Jim makes incredible Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from vineyards here in his “back yard”. Jim is obsessed with white burgundy and the style of the wines being made in that region. That obsession is quite apparent when enjoying his latest release of Chardonnay.
This small production wine of less than 200 cases is made from a block of fruit from Jim’s family’s estate vineyard. Would it be too charming to believe if I mentioned that the particular block of Chardonnay is also the one that Jim’s mom planted while she was pregnant with him? It may be, but it’s true. This is everything I want in a Chardonnay- incredible round texture, bright acidity and vivid fruit laced with minerality. The oak is beautifully integrated and does not compete with but complements of this noble grape. The last time I felt this way about an Oregon Chardonnay it cost me over $100 a bottle so consider this a steal at $75. The wine is limited so if you hesitate you may just regret it.
