Winery and Tasting Room at Ponzi Vineyards
Ponzi Vineyards is conveniently located just 30 minutes southwest of Portland’s city center. The winery was designed and built by Dick Ponzi and his young family. Over time, the family utilized immense, recycled, old-growth timbers, local stone, and a sweeping corten roof to create a building made of Pacific Northwest materials, designed to reflect a sense of place. The stone walls were built in the spirit of honoring the great history and permanence of wineries throughout the world.
Guests are welcome to visit the original Estate Vineyard, winery facility and tasting room. We are open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Guests of the winery can view the cellar while tasting current releases in the tasting room, and can walk through the old vines on the historic grounds.
Private tours are held by appointment only for groups of five or more. Tours are customized to visitor preference, from a brief visit to in-depth technical tours. Per-person fees include a guided tour of the vineyard and winery, and a tasting of current wines accompanied by fresh bread and imported cheeses. Please contact our tasting room manager, Jeff Mathews, at 503.628.1227 for more information.
We are closed Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day and New Year's Day.
