Belle Pente

Belle Pente is a family operation just outside of the town of Carlton. Owner/winemaker Brian O’Donnell crafts wines that always exude a sense of place (what the French call Terroir). This bottle for example, is from one of his longtime fruit sources, the Murto Vineyard.

Murto was planted in 1978 just upslope from us here in the Dundee Hills. The grapes were fermented using indigenous yeast and gravity bottled without fining or filtration. These meticulous techniques were used in order to preserve the clean earthiness, bright red fruit, along with the subtle spice notes that this special vineyard is known for. Just over 500 cases were made!
